STM is a strategic multi-modal transportation modelling tool appropriate for regional transport planning, structure plan development and other applications where there is a need for strategic level land use and transport policy assessment.  STM facilitates analysis of demographic, car-ownership and land-use variables in addition to transportation policy interventions such as parking supply and charging, road user charging, public transport frequency and capacity enhancements and new infrastructure provision.
