DfT prepares CO2 appraisal guidance

The DfT is interested in capturing

within appraisal the

carbon dioxide emissions associated

with the construction of

transport infrastructure and the

materials used. The proposal

builds upon work that has been

conducted at the University of

Bath. The DfT is also planning to

develop some specific appraisal

guidance to support innovative

policies to reduce transport's

carbon dioxide emissions.
