Bus drivers get text warning if they use too much fuel

Stagecoach North East has installed a series of energy monitoring systems, which can alert employees by text when their vehicles aren't being used efficiently, to keep track of bus energy levels in South Tyneside.

As part of its £350,000 programme, the company has introduced a NoWatt – an electricity tracker with more than 1,000 channels – at its South Shields depot in Chichester...
