Brian Simmonite, director and founder of JCT Consultancy, has died after a long battle with cancer.
Simmonite’s career started with Nottinghamshire County Council in 1975 on graduate training before moving to the council’s traffic control group in 1978. He went on the manage the traffic management group in 1980 whilst in parallel developing his computer software. In 1983 he moved to Lincolnshire County Council as signals manager.
