The demise of the bendy bus in the capital continues as today sees bendy buses operating on route 521 between Waterloo Station and London Bridge via the City, for the last time.

The vehicles will be replaced by conventional 12-metre long Mercedes-Benz Citaros that feature a large standee zone from next Tuesday. In order to make up the reduced capacity, the frequency of the route has been boosted with a bus running every two or three minutes at peak times, rather than the current four minute...
