Who holds the power and influence? As the only monthly journal covering the entire passenger transport business, both bus and rail, and for more than a decade, New Transit is in a unique position to answer this.

Candidates were judged on two key criteria - the clout that they wield in their current position, and the cultural influence that they exert over their peers. Our ambition was to take a snapshot of the individuals who run or influence the UK passenger transport sector in 2009.
