Former rail regulator Tom Winsor has offered support to the Conservatives rail review, saying “there are real issues that need to be discussed”.
In an interview with Transit, Winsor said he had particular sympathy with shadow transport secretary Chris Grayling’s assessment that the government appeared to be sleepwalking towards a point where it makes no provision for the expected 30% increase in patronage over the next decade.
