The number of passengers using Lothian Buses’s Airlink service to travel to and from Edinburgh Airport has jumped by 12%.

The council-owned bus company revealed last week that Airlink carried around 100,000 more people to or from the city’s airport in the past year.

The number of passengers on the service is growing at a faster rate than the number of people using the airport - with a fifth of flyers taking the bus to get there.
