These are interesting times for Phillip Darnton, chairman of Cycling England, the independent body that has been charged by the Government to get more people cycling, more safely, more often. Since its inception in 2005 the organisation has been funded in three-year cycles and so Darnton is currently waiting to see how much money Cycling England is going to be given for the 2011-2014 period.
