Councils seek savings in all-Wales streetlight deal

17 Local highway authorities in Wales are set to jointly tender for an ‘all Wales’ street lighting contract to make savings in the cost of buying equipment.

Denbighshire County Council, which led the development of a framework agreement for six North Wales authorities to buy street lighting equipment, has met with South Wales authorities to discuss them joining the deal when it is re-let next year.
