Health professionals back 20mph limits

The widespread application of signed-only 20mph limits in residential streets could significantly cut road accident casualties, according to a report prepared by the North West Public Health Observatory at Liverpool John Moores University, the NHS North West and other groups. The report analyses a number of casualty datasets, presenting results by local authority area. Using modelling, it estimates that 140 killed or seriously injured child casualties could have been averted in each year...
