Grid road critics don’t know what makes Milton Keynes tick

Several of your correspondents seem to suggest that Milton Keynes has become a successful New Town in spite of our much-loved grid road network being some kind of “problem” that needs “solving”. Sadly they don’t offer any explanation for this curious viewpoint.
