The DfT is studying Dorset County Council’s recent comprehensive retendering of public transport contracts to see if it could have best practice lessons for other parts of the country.
The council used the competitive dialogue procedure to award long-term partnering contracts with bids scored using a 60% weighting for quality and 40% for price.
