Spaargaren becomes Merseyrail MD as Schmeink takes over at GVB Amsterdam

Merseyrail has appointed Maarten Spaargaren (right) as its new managing director. He replaces another Dutch MD at Merseyrail, Bart Schmeink, who is leaving to become chief executive of GVB Amsterdam.
