Providing Southampton’s civil enforcement officers with a new handheld is helping to ensure the prompt payment of penalty charge notices, the city council reports. Casio’s DT-X30 handheld wirelessly sends photographic evidence of contraventions to Spur’s Si-Dem back office system. This, says the council, has led to 40% of those receiving PCNs paying promptly after viewing photographic evidence of their contravention.
