West Yorks QC plans – a threat to bus services everywhere

Last week West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority (WYITA – Metro), on advice from its officers, threw out a Quality Partnership offer from the Association of Bus Operators in West Yorkshire (ABOWY) (‘West Yorks triggers bus QC plan as partnership offer rejected’ LTT 22 Jun). The offer was to double bus use in West Yorkshire through quality improvements over the next decade or so. This would cut congestion and pollution by about 20%.
