Belfast City Council is to launch a public bike hire scheme for the city centre, using a £700,000 grant from the Northern Ireland Executive. The funding will pay for 300 bikes and 30 docking stations. The council is one of four to share £4.3m from the Department for Regional Development’s active travel demonstration project.
