Solutions sought for Scots road landslip

A Scottish Government taskforce set up to find a solution to landslips on the A83 at Rest and Be Thankful in Argyll and Bute met for the first time this week. Recent landslips saw more than 1,000 tonnes of material fall on the road, which provides the main link to Mid Argyll, Kintyre, Islay and West Cowal. The taskforce, chaired by transport minister Keith Brown, aims to ensure delivery of an emergency diversion route, for which £1.5m has been allocated, and leading a £100,000 study...
