The DfT-backed Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme is launching a project to create a toolkit on client/provider collaboration which it says can save 15% on the cost of delivering the same service.
The HMEP toolkit will identify how “existing pockets of excellence” in joint working between clients and their service providers can be spread across local government highways services.
