The President of the AA this week calls on the Government to “go back to the drawing board”  on its plans to reform how England’s strategic road network is managed.

Writing in LTT, Edmund King says the reform plans are “confused” and not in the interests of motorists. He says the programme is being pushed by the Treasury, the CBI, construction companies – who want to build more roads – and “road pricing academics”.
