Woman who lied to court over unpaid PCNs jailed

A woman who tried to shift the blame for almost 50 unpaid penalty charge notices (PCNs) onto her estranged daughter has been jailed for four months. Appearing at Chichester Crown Court on 18 July, Christine Kelly was found guilty of committing perjury.

She lied in court in an attempt to sue Worthing Borough Council, which had removed one of her vehicles. The council said that Kelly had 46 unpaid PCNs dating back to March 2010 involving two vehicles.
