Cumbria scoops £5m from DfT’s cycle fund

Cumbria County Council is anticipating the announcement that it has won a big slice of the DfT’s £12m fund to promote cycling in National Parks.

Although no official announcement of the successful bids has yet been made, Cumbria says it has been awarded £4.67m for the ‘CycleLakes’ project.

The Prime Minister had been due to reveal the winners of the £12m Linking Communities Fund and the £30m Cycle City Ambition grant in May but LTT  understands...
