Councils tackle spate of Blue Badge fraud cases

In the past month there have been several prosecutions of Blue Badge fraudsters. Here is a round-up of some of the cases.

Local authority parking teams across Britain have been successfully prosecuting motorists who have abuse the Blue Badge system, which is designed to make town centres and other destinations more accessible to disabled people. In the past month court cases have included:

Wandsworth, London: An architect who used his mother’s disabled parking permit has been fined more than £1,000. David Jones used the Blue Badge to park near his company’s office in Battersea. He was seen...
