shops, cafes, libraries and hospitals across South East Scotland could host real-time information (RTI) displays about bus services under plans being drawn up by South East Scotland transport partnership (SEStran).
SEStran’s £3.4m Bustracker system is due to go live next month with information initially available via the internet and a mobile phone app. Bus stop signs have not been implemented because of cost constraints and the fact so many people own smart phones.
