Construction of a new road crossing over the Mersey will get underway this month after the parties reached financial close on the deal.
Halton Borough Council and the Merseylink consortium have completed all the 30-year contracts and secured funding commitments enabling the six-lane Mersey Gateway road crossing to be built.
