I was intrigued to read that a planned cycle scheme in Cambridge would feature what might be the first cycle Zebra crossing (‘Bus stop safety concerns delay approval for city’s cycle plans’ LTT 30 May). Somewhat late I fear as there has been one in Bury St Edmunds since the 1990s. In fact there used to be two in the town, but one was lost as part of a redevelopment scheme....
