Businesses in Worthing are reporting that reduced car park tariffs at three town centre multi-storeys have boosted customer numbers. Tariffs were cut after Worthing Borough Council took over the running of the car parks from NCP in April. NCP had managed the council’s 27 car parks, including the three multi-storeys, for 10 years.

When the service was brought in-house, the council reduced the hourly charge at the multi-storeys from £1.70 to £1 an hour.
