Kent promotes Thanet Parkway

Kent County Council is to consult on plans for a new Thanet Parkway rail station between Ramsgate and Minster on the Ramsgate-Ashford line. The station has a price tag of £14m, with Kent hoping to secure £10m from the Local Growth Fund. The council estimates the station will handle between 106,000 and 123,147 passengers in 2021, with 40,000-43,000 new trips and 66,000-80,000 being abstracted from other stations, chiefly Ramsgate.
