Transport for London is to trial inductive charging technology on up to four diesel electric hybrid buses next year. The Alexander Dennis double-deckers will run on Stagecoach’s route 69 between Canning Town and Walthamstow bus stations and be charged at both ends of the route. The trial is part-funded by the ZeEUS (Zero emissions urban bus system) project co-ordinated by the International Association of Public Transport, UITP.
