TRANSPORT FOR LONDON, working with the University of Loughborough, has produced research indicating that changes to the design of HGV cabs could save the lives of significant numbers of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. The Loughborough Design School, a school of the University of Loughborough, was commissioned by TfL to show that realistic and economical changes to HGV cab designs can lead to tangible increases in the road safety of the roads for all, TfL says.
