Blue Badge abuse order to be trialled by Brighton & Hove

Brighton & Hove City Council has won £183,000 government funding to pilot a scheme where some Blue Badge abusers are given the option of attending an awareness course and receiving a penalty charge notice instead of going to court.

Offenders will be issued with a community resolution order, which will involve attending a course to learn what impact their behaviour has had on society and disabled groups in particular.
