Transport for London has shortlisted five locations where  roads could be placed in tunnels to reduce their environmental impact and create development land. 

Having assessed more than 70 locations, TfL says further feasibility work will be conducted on the following sites:

• A mini-tunnel for the A13 in Barking – this could improve connections between Barking and the Barking Riverside development, where just under 11,000 new homes are planned
