Transport for London “consistently” exceeds the DfT’s standards for acceptable accuracy in traffic modelling, according to officials.

Alan Bristow, TfL’s director of road space management, surface transport, presented members of the surface access panel with examples of modelling performance last week. 

“The DfT’s WebTAG model appraisal guidance states that modelling journey times should be within +/-15% of observed journey times,” said Bristow....
