Plans to introduce the UK’s first bus Quality Contract Scheme in Tyne and Wear were scrutinised by a Quality Contract Scheme board last month. The board, chaired by North East Traffic Commissioner Kevin Rooney, must consider if the proposal of Nexus meets the statutory public interest criteria and if due process has been followed in the scheme’s preparation.
