Nottinghamshire County Council has voiced disappointment at the Government’s continuing refusal to help fund development work for a passenger rail service to serve an area blighted by the collapse of coal mining.
Nottinghamshire wants to introduce passenger services to Ollerton using a freight-only branch that joins the existing Nottingham-Worksop (‘Robin Hood’) line at Shirebrook.
