Roger Sexton (Letters LTT 04 Mar), as usual, totally misses the point of Peter Shipp’s letter (Letters LTT19 Feb). The bus industry does not expect to be exempt from change. We relish constructive change. What we object to is what the Tories call ‘franchising’, but what is in fact nationalisation without compensation, something I would expect from a Communist government based in Nottingham, but not from the Conservatives.
