The government will fail on its manifesto pledge to double cycling by 2025 because of “chronic underinvestment”, says sustainable transport charity Sustrans.

While some £15bn has been earmarked for new roads, cycling and walking projects remain woefully underfunded, believes Sustrans policy director Jason Torrance.
