Suffolk County Council is working to a tight timescaleto deliver two new road bridges that have been awarded £151m of Government grant following lobbying by local Tory MPs. 

The Chancellor announced funding for the schemes in his March Budget. The Ipswich Wet Dock Crossing aims to relieve east-west routes and the A14 across the Orwell Bridge, as well as open up development land. The town’s MP Ben Gummer leads the campaign for its delivery.
