DfT ‘failing the green test’, says MPs

MPs have voiced scepticism about the DfT’s ability decarbonise the transport sector at the pace recommended by the Committee on Climate Change (CCC). The House of Commons environmental audit committee notes that the DfT expects ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) to make up 3-7% of the UK vehicle market in 2020. The CCC has said ULEVs should have a 9% market share by 2020 and 60% by 2030 in order to keep the UK on the lowest cost path to achieving its Climate Change Act target. The MPs...
