Three corridors explored for building Oxford to Milton Keynes Expressway

Three corridors for an Expressway road between Oxford and Milton Keynes are being explored in the DfT’s wider Oxford to Cambridge Expressway study.

The study’s focus is the broad arc of about 110 miles from Didcot in the west to Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Cambridge. The major east-west roads are: the A34 between the M4 and the M40; the A421 from the M40 to the A1; and the A428 from the A1 to the Girton Interchange (M11/A14) on the edge of Cambridge.
