A man has been jailed for 18 months for an attack that resulted in a civil enforcement officer (CEO) breaking his leg. The CEO, who wants to remain anonymous, was left with semi-permanent nerve damage after the assault in Peterborough last September.

Shamal Asaad, 30, attacked the CEO after receiving a penalty charge notice (PCN). The motorist had denied grievous bodily harm, but was found guilty at Peterborough Crown Court. He was also given two further sentences three months each for two...
