Swift intervention by Cycling UK persuaded Eurostar to drop plans to make cyclists dismantle their bikes before boarding the cross-channel train, says Paul Tuohy.
Cycling UK led a campaign, supported by other European cycling groups, to make Eurostar re-consider its proposals last November.
Under the plans, those going on cycle tour to the Continent would have been forced to dismantle their bikes, put them into a box or bag and reassemble them at their destination.
