Highways England has rejected Cambridgeshire County Council’s idea of running buses down the hard shoulder of the M11 to the west of Cambridge.
Cambridgeshire consulted earlier this year on options for a Western Orbital bus corridor, connecting housing and employment growth areas on the edge of Cambridge.
