New school designs ‘failing to consider active travel needs’

New schools are still being built with inadequate provision for home-to-school journeys on foot or by bicycle, according to Sustrans Cymru.

The charity plans to write to Wales’ education secretary, Kirsty Williams, asking her to ensure that funding for new schools is aligned with the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013.
