Average daily traffic levels on the M6 Toll road in the West Midlands rose 0.2% in October to December 2016, compared with the same period of 2015. Average workday traffic rose 1.6% from 52,735 to 53,605 but traffic at weekends and public holidays fell 2.9% from 36,954 to 35,878. Overall, average daily traffic rose from 47,932 to 48,017.
