Car-sharing could make a major contribution to reducing traffic congestion, vehicle emissions and pressure on parking. This is what the various local government agencies the capital believe. In May 2015 Transport for London (TfL), the Greater London Authority and London Councils teamed up with Carplus, a charity promoting car-sharing and a number of car club operators to produce a car club strategy for the capital.
