City’s zebra crossing review – spare a thought for pedestrians

I read with interest the report describing the review for the City of London Corporation of the difference between signalised crossings and zebras in terms of the delays they cause to road traffic (‘No case for mass zebra cull, says City’s congestion review’ LTT 26 May). 

I looked in vain for an assessment of the additional waiting time experienced by pedestrians at signalised crossings. 

And might the zebra have an additional unquantified benefit to strengthen the...
