Brighton & Hove Buses has decorated one of its vehicles with cartoons of dogs. The month-long publicity campaign sees pictures of different breeds of dog looking out the windows of a bendy bus. The images are designed to let passengers know that pet dogs as well as assistance dogs are welcome on their buses.
The vinyl wrap is based on a design by local artist Mike Dick. A couple of doggy outlines have been left blank so customers can send in pictures of their pooches staring out the windows as part of a competition to win an illustration of their dog to fill the spaces.
Dogs travel free on Brighton & Hove buses, which has published some canine etiquette tips for their owners.
Doggy Do’s
1. If you wish to travel with more than two dogs, please check with the driver upon boarding.
2. Please ensure your dog is boarding with an owner - we don't want any lost pups.
3. Please make sure your dog is well behaved and of no danger or nuisance to other customers.
4. Please ensure your dog is sat on the floor or on your lap.
Doggy Dont's
1. Please don't allow your dog to sit directly on the seat as this could become unpleasant for other passengers sitting on the seats or for those with allergies. (Sitting on your lap is fine)
2. If there is another dog on board, you may not be allowed to board with your dog in case of any “disagreements”.
