The DfT has invited eight cities to bid for a share of £6.5m to trial cycle safety initiatives. The cities are those that have already benefited from funding under the Cycle City Ambition programme: Bristol, Leeds, Cambridge, Birmingham, Norwich, Manchester, Newcastle and Oxford.
