FoE seeks review of Airports NPS

Campaign group Friends of the Earth has applied for a judicial review of the Government’s Airports National Policy Statement, saying its support for a third runway at Heathrow Airport is unlawful because it fails to address the UK’s climate change obligations. Friends of the Earth has employed law firm Leigh Day to present the case. A separate case is being brought by a number of local authorities in the vicinity of Heathrow, Greenpeace and the mayor of London....
